Our Family Is Changing: Manal and Chloe Finding New Opportunities

Like all families, this family dentist office is changing and growing. Two members of our staff, Manal and Chloe are heading out for new opportunities here in San Diego and abroad.

Manal and Chloe

Our long time friend and dental assistant Manal Marcos has left the practice. Her friendly and outgoing personality will be missed. She and her husband Haitham have invested in a gas station/convenience store. She is focusing her considerable talents on helping their business be as successful as it can be. Manal and Haitham also have two energetic boys. Between the new business and busy family, the time was right for Manal to concentrate on matters closer to home. While we will miss her at the office, we wish her nothing but the best.

Go visit Manal and Haitham at their new store located at: 2717 Lemon Grove Ave., Lemon Grove, CA 91945

Our favorite summer intern Chloe Bradford has had an eventful year. She completed her AA degree while on a basketball scholarship in Oregon, coached summer basketball camps and worked here in the office. She is taking time off school to volunteer for church service. She is currently working  in Guam. The rule of Chloe is if you are waiting on her, you are probably in reverse…

We look forward to her return to the office sometime in 2017.

Fall 2014

Dr. Philip’s family is heading out into the world: Alex is in Peru on a church mission. Chloe is starting college in Oregon on a basketball scholarship, Willem Killian and Keegan are excelling in their respective schools and Kenny  (the caboose), now 2, keeps everyone in line.

Dr. John is enjoying retirement with frequent trips to visit grandchildren, golf on Thursday , Tennis on Wednesday and taking care of “honeydos”.

Antonette manages the office and her busy home with grace and seeming ease. Two in  high school  participating in sports and social activities and one in  elementary school who recently received a Kiwanis student award. Antonette can keep you up to date with your insurance benefits and the youth scene in and around Del Cerro.

Heidi and her son Hazen are “frequent fliers” at various waterski venues around San Diego as well as making regular trips to mountains for snow skiing. Heidi is a regular attendee at professional updates and can keep you informed about the latest in treatments to improve your smile.

Manal keeps my office running smoothly both in the front office and back office, she is a key team player.  Outside of the office she stays very busy with her two boys and helping her husband with his new business venture of a convenience store in Lemon Grove.  She is from Baghdad originally and is fluent in Middle Eastern languages.

Jackie attended the CDA scientific session in Anaheim earlier this year and attended orthodontic classes with Dr. Bradford. She will be happy to offer details about the updates both in English and Spanish.

The office now offers braces for adults as part of the “Six Month Smiles” program. Please ask for more information and look us up online. We already have pictures to share of some of our before and after patients.

Dr. John Westwood is enjoying his retirement.
